The Reset Center at South Texas Surgical Hospital & Outpatient Center is a program which helps those struggling with obesity, but are unable to successfully lose weight and keep it off with diet and behavior changes. This program is for individuals who want to push the reset button on their weight and are dedicated to making the changes that are needed for long-term success.
You may qualify for surgical weight loss at South Texas Surgical and Outpatient center if you meet the following requirements:

Age 18 or older and less than 65

A BMI of 35-39.9 with a medical condition (diabetes, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, etc)

OR a BMI over 40

You do not have:

Organ failure (severe congestive heart failure, end-stage renal disease, severe liver disease, etc)

An Organ transplant
-
Significant cardiac or pulmonary disease

Not on the transplant list

If you are experiencing a medical condition, like diabetes or high blood pressure, but your BMI is between 30-35, you may still be eligible for surgery. Contact our program for more information.
